Meski tak berlaga di medan perang, bukan berarti grup musik Green Day tak bisa disebut sebagai pahlawan. Setidaknya bagi bocah berusia 9 tahun, Corey George. Corey tak sadarkan diri setelah dirinya tertabrak mobil di daerah Aberaman, South Wales. Orang tua Corey pun berusaha keras agar anaknya bisa tersadar. Mereka lantas teringat Green Day, grup band favorit Corey. Ibunda Corey lantas mencoba membangunkan anaknya dengan cara memperdengarkan American Idiot, lagu favorit Corey. Hasilnya? Corey pun tersadar dari komanya selama dua minggu. "Corey sangat suka Green Day. Ia selalu mendengarkan album-album Green Day. Lagu yang paling disukainya adalah American Idiot. Karena itu kami memutarnya untuk Corey. Hanya sejam setelah lagu tersebut diputar, Corey langsung membuka mata. Ia juga menggerakan badan dan jari kaki," ujar Martyn George, ayah Corey, kepada BBC Wales, seperti dilansir dari nme, Rabu (16/3/2005). Kabar tentang tersadarnya Corey sampai ke telinga tiga personel grup band beraliran punk itu. Mereka menyatakan sangat bahagia mendengar kabar tersebut.  Green Day is a genre of punk rock music group originating from California, United States and consisted of Billie Joe Armstrong (lead singer, guitarist), Mike Dirnt (base, supporting singer), and Tre Cool (drummer, singer and supporter). Green Day has been recognized in the music world because of their success in restoring and re-create the famous punk rock genre, along with bands of the 1990s like The Offspring and Rancid.

Green Day was originally part of a punk at 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley, California. The band is the initial release for an independent record label Lookout!. However, the major label debut Dookie (1994) became a successful escape and eventually sold more than 10 million copies in the U.S. and 15 million worldwide. As a result, Green Day was widely credited, along with fellow California punk bands The Offspring and Rancid, with reviving the core interests and popularizing punk rock in the United States. 3 Green Day's next album, Insomniac, Nimrod and Warning. with a third album they get double platinum, and gold status respectively

and in 2004 his achievements by adding Green Day album American Idiot rock opera, the album sold five million copies in the year 2004 ... and continue to Green Day also just last year that was keluarin album tittle Breakdown 21st Century,where one of her songs as a soundtrack made in the Transformer 2 entitled 21 guns.Their music has influenced many other punk bands like Blink 182 and Good Charlotte.This band has sold more than 50 million albums in the United States and more than 100 million albums worldwide. Green Day has won numerous awards, such as the MTV Video Music Awards and Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, as well as various other awards, and has won three Grammy Awards (Best Alternative Album for Dookie, Best Rock Album for American Idiot, and Record of the Year for Boulevard of Broken Dreams).
